Abundant Joy Community Church

Our Vision

Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so that a runner may read it.

For there is a vision for the appointed time.

Habakkuk 2:2b-3a

Abundant Joy embraces justice, Christian values, and the American Baptist structure and doctrine. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for God’s people through our commitment to follow Jesus.

Psalms 32. Jeremiah 3:15. Hebrews 13:15-17.

It Is Our Vision to Create a congregation whereby excellence is the standard.  We seek to create an environment where we can discover how to nurture relationships through our commitment to listen, learn, offer service, provide pastoral care, seek understanding and love as Jesus loved us.

John 15:12. Ephesians 4:11-16. 2nd Thessalonians 3:1. 1st John 4:16.

It Is Our Vision to Be a healthy church family – loving, learning, laughing, and living in harmony. We seek to be a family where intimacy is encouraged through our willingness to be vulnerable, committed, and worthy of each other’s trust.

Psalm 133:1-2. Ezekiel 11:19.

It Is Our Vision to Develop people to spiritual maturity through worship, Bible study, pastoral care, prayer, seminars, cultural enrichment, crisis support, addiction treatment, abuse intervention, retreats and individual or family counseling. It is our vision that our members will spend daily time with God, attend Sunday School, tithe regularly, participate in a small group ministry, live holy and grow. We will help each other to succeed through love, prayer, support, pastoral care, encouragement, and mutual accountability.

Acts 2:42.

It Is Our Vision to Equip every believer for a ministry by helping each person to discover and use the gifts God gave to him or her. We believe service is not an option. It is our duty. “Faith without works is dead.” Thus, it is our vision to equip our members to be God’s agents of healing and change. It is our vision to embrace a theology that includes social analysis, action, and reflection.

Isaiah 30:18. Micah 6:8. 2nd Corinthians 10:4-5.

It Is Our Vision to Rid ourselves of economic slavery. We seek to help our members get out of debt; tithe; save money; invest; own property; follow their dreams; work smart, create wealth, and financial security.

1st Chronicles 17:27. Proverbs 3:9-10. 3rd John 2.

It Is Our Vision to Build an intimate, loving congregation – housed in beautiful facilities, including a worship center, classrooms, rehearsal studio, computer lab, counseling clinic, personal help center, bookstore, and restaurant. It is our vision to create a safe environment where people can give and receive the care they need. We want angels, strangers, visitors, and our members to feel at home. We seek to be a safe space zone.

Hebrews 13:1-6.

We Believe the only way our Vision can succeed is through our surrender to God, the love of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit. We will walk by faith and not by sight! “For without faith it is impossible to please Him.”

Hebrews 11:6.
